Dracenas like to have damp soil at all times, but never soggy. Choose a well draining soil and a pot with good drainage. Fertilization is also important with these house plants, every 2 weeks in the spring and summer, once a month in the fall, stop feeding in the winter months as the plant benefits from a period of dormancy.
These wonderful plants are not susceptible to disease or pests, but a common problem is root rot caused by over watering and not enough drainage.
